Mineralocorticoids is a group of steroid hormones - most importantly aldosterone - secreted by the adrenal cortex that regulate the electrolytes and water balance in the body. They are especially involved in retaining sodium and released excreting potassium renally > anti-diuretic.
Glucocorticoids are also a steroid hormones, they control blood glucose concentration and carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism, also control the inflammatory process by helping to repair damaged tissue and fights allergies. Most important glucocorticoid hormone is cortisol, the stress hormone. Cortisol increases the blood pressure and blood sugar levels and suppresses the immune system.
