How can you benefit from glandular supplements? Back

Glandular supplementation goes way back to visionaries such as Hippocrates, Paracelsus, Hahnemann, Pasteur and the likes. These people have laid the foundation for current glandular research and treatment. An early contributor to glandular research was Metshnikoff, a Russian fellow who was associated with the Pasteur Institute in Paris. Metshnikoff conducted research together with Bordet and Cantazucene. Together, they took substances from animals and converted them into serum to inject it into other animals. A drastic increase in production of red blood cells could be observed.

A guy named Dr. Leake added spleen tissue to bone marrow to stimulate the production of red blood cells. A powerful serum was created to prompt the immune response. Bogolometz and Metshnikoff managed to produce a serum that caused no side effects. Usually serums derived from animals triggered major side-effects in patients, yet this one was safe. In 1935, the serum developed at the Pasteur Institute was introduced worldwide and used during the WWII by the Americans to treat some difficult wounds.

In 1939, the serum was presented to the US and a paper was written up and published in the American Review of Medicine.

A similar process was followed to turn liver, pancreas, spleen, thyroid tissue into serum for glandular support. The conviction was, that if a patient’s liver is failing, injecting liver would improve functioning of the organ, the same for pancreas, thymus, adrenals and so on.

Right around that time, Dr. Carrel started his famous chicken heart experiment. He managed to keep it alive in nutrient serum for 28 years! The cells synthesized by the heart during that span could have covered the world over. This proves the fantastic turnover and regeneration of glands and cells in our bodies.

Another famous doctor involved in glandular research is the Swiss native Dr. Niehans. The experiments he conducted were just short of a miracle. What he did is extract tissue from unborn lambs and inject it into patients with various glandular and other diseases. The extract targets the failing gland or organ. Dr. Niehans only encountered two or three cases of sensitivity to the serum in 23 years of treating patients with these unconventional injections,. La Prairie – Dr. Niehans’ clinic in Switzerland – is still in operation today. Switzerland is one of the only countries, or the only western state permitting glandular injections. The clinic is frequented by royalties and movie stars alike and the achieved results simply incredible.

Dr. Lee of Wisconsin is largely responsible for introducing Dr. Niehans’ concept in the United States. His quest was to assess whether orally administered glandulars reach the targeted destination gland or not. The answer to that question can be found way back in history with the founding fathers of medicine such as Galen, Hippocrates, Paracelsus etc. – and of course oral administration is effective. All other nutrients are taken orally and are effective and with glandulars it is no different. However, the controversy persists whether glandulars are properly assimilated in the body, as this is a highly complex cell nutrient. Oral preparations are available throughout the States, not in Europe though as the general presumption is that the blends contain hormones. Glandular supplements are nothing more or nothing less than desiccated liver, pancreas, adrenals etc.. Best quality glandulars are lyophilized, heated at body temperature to preserve the micronutrients, enzymes and integrity of the hormones.

A variety of glandular extracts are on the shelves today, thyroid, adrenals, liver, kidney, pancreas, thymus to name a few. Glandular extracts work in very simple fashion, e.g. liver extract works on the liver, adrenal extract on the adrenals, thyroid on the thyroid etc.. When a glandular complex is prescribed to a patient, the whole e.g. thyroid substance is given, not solely the hormone. The function of an e.g. thyroid gland is brought back to normal performance with whole thyroid extract.

Administering the hormone version requires the patient to stay on the medication indefinitely, by ingesting the entire thyroid complex, the gland is eventually repaired. This works particularly well for hypothyroidism where insufficient thyroid hormone is released into the bloodstream. Tissue can only be synthesized if all required nutrients are available when needed. If one or more elements are lacking, waste material may accumulate in the cell. For that reason, administering whole, organic glandular extract makes a significant difference to the health of a cell.

Following a healthy, balanced diet (not the traditionally thought of balanced diet), consisting of organic, raw, high fiber and nucleoprotein-rich food consisting of components of Dr. Frank’s no aging diet such as sardines, salmon, lentils, pinto beans, navy beans, brewer’s yeast. These nucleoprotein-containing deliver RNA/DNA to the cells ensuring cell health and counter the aging process.

Nucleic acids

Following a diet high in nucleoproteins ensures the cells are receiving sufficient RNA / DNA needed to regenerate and synthesize. A balanced diet high in nucleoproteins, high fiber foods and adequate protein is one of the best age defenders. Foods high in nucleoproteins are sardines (especially Portuguese sardines), salmon, all intestines such as liver, kidney etc, pinto beans, garbanzo beans, black eyed peas, anchovies, shrimp, oysters and the superfood brewer’s yeast.

Adding these foods to the diet can greatly increase stamina, vigor and a reduction in degenerative diseases. Dr. Frank developed this nutritional program. One of his most dramatic findings is that patient’s grew younger and their appearance was more youthful. This alone, should spark plenty of people’s interest these days as the fountain of youth is big business these days.

Nucleic acids cause a higher level of uric acid, this however, can be lowered by adding pantothenic acid to the diet. Pantothenic acid splits uric acid down into its two basic components – urea and ammonia. Up to fourhundred milligrams of pantothenic acid can safely be ingested while on the nucleoprotein diet.

Adequate protein intake should also be warranted while on a nucleoprotein regimen. Overdosing in nucleic acids, however, is difficult to achieve, even if tried very hard.
